CONGRATULATIONS SAM AND MEGS! XXOO

The wedding weekend extravaganza was amazing!  Everything went as planned, people flew in from several states, the weather was gorgeous and Sam and Megan were as happy as can be!  Just so sad that as usual it goes too fast!

The rehearsal dinner was great - gorgeous weather, the food is just top notch at St. Clair Country Club.  It was a loose and fun party - no sit down dinner.  The slide show went well even though it took me a few minutes to get it up and running!  A bunch of people got up and told stories and gave well wishes.  Will and I sang a song that he wrote - it was classic!  We sang a song titles "You're Sam Kane" to the tune of "You're So Vain" by Carly Simon.  Here are the lyrics:

You walked into the tailgate
Like you were walking onto a yacht
You had your Willie Parker jersey on
You had pulled pork in a pot

You had one eye on Megan
As you watched her drink a beer

And you were dreaming that she'd be your partner, she'd be your partner and

You're Sam Kane
You probably think this song is about you
You're Sam Kane
I'll bet you think this song is about you, don't you, don't you

Well you met her several years ago
When you were both quite naive
Meg was a Penn State graduate
And you went to USC

And even though you had a fight
On the first day that you met

You fell in love when you looked in Meg's blue eyes, looked in Meg's blue eyes and

You're Sam Kane
You probably think this song is about you
You're Sam Kane
I'll bet you think this song is about you, don't you, don't you

Well I hear you'll be living at Nunni's house
To embark on your married life
Megan can wear her comfy pants
And her retainer every night

We wish nothing but the best for you
Just love and happiness

And hopefully there's some kids in your future, kids in your future and

You're Sam Kane
You probably think this song is about you
You're Sam Kane
I'll bet you think this song is about you don't you, don't you

I have to say - it was one of the most heart-felt and sincere wedding ceremonies I have ever been to.  I know I am sort of biased because Sam is my ONLY sibling, but it was truly awesome.  I know the two of them have waited a long time for this and it showed.  Megan was beaming and my brother had that perma-smirk on his face.  I cried like a baby watching her come down the aisle (I am actually tearing up writing this!) as Sam watched her.  He didn't take his eye off of her the entire time she walked down.  It was really sweet.

Megan's dress was stunning.  Her hair and makeup were gorgeous and her dress was unbelievable.  But it was the look on her face that made her so beautiful.  She was truly a vision.  Sam looked so handsome in his tux - I just love him so much.
